I am living in Philadelphia with my family.
Digital imagery is somewhat new to me, but I spent many years doing lighting and motion picture camera work in the film business.
Pictures are everywhere now, by necessity we glance and then move on. I am usually interested in pictures that reveal themselves slowly.
The photographer is always making choices, and every deliberate photograph is in some ways a self portrait.
Often a photograph almost captures something special but not quite. That seems to be the essential element of photography for me, I feel something and take a picture. Usually what I think I am looking for is not quite there. So generally speaking the pictures I make are just fragments: shards of time and space.
